***I am very excited that you can now view a short film about Chapel Home, directed by myself and edited/filmed by Junior Eric Madison.  Click the link below to visit the CWA site, then download the appropriate version of the film!

Volunteers are needed to:
1) Prepare and serve dinner
2) Watch children during the evening
3) Provide breakfast food/afternoon snacks

This is a great opportunity for students to fulfill community service hours!

Overview

Twice a year, Charles Wright joins a network of churches and schools to help temporarily homeless families by providing a place for them to eat dinner and sleep comfortably and safely.  During the day, these families go to school, work, college, and/or the Phoenix Housing Day Center to look for work, take classes on parenting, and a score of other options.

Last Spring, we started the week with 5 families and ended with 3 -- two families had found apartments!  So the system works!!  It was sad saying goodbye to them, but of course joyful at the same time.

This project works only by the generosity of the Charles Wright community.  If you would like to prepare a dinner (a GREAT family activity!), provide breakfast/snack food, hang out with the families during the evening, or lend games & toys or other supplies, please click above to contact me!  Thanks!
