AVAILABILITY: The Sixth Grade Drama Class is available to all 6th graders in conjunction with General Music (Students have Drama for 2 quarters and Music for 2 quarters)

DESCRIPTION: Students learn Trust, Sense of Place, Character Development, and Problem creation and solving. The kids put everything they learn into two productions- A student generated play based on improvisation, and a fully produced sock puppet show.

AVAILABILITY: The 7/8th Grade Drama class is available to all 7th and 8th grade students as an elective.

DESCRIPTION: Students learn Voice and Movement, Physical Comedy and Safety, and are introduced to Text in both Monologue and Scene form. The class has numerous in-class performances and one fully produced, student generated production.

AVAILABILITY: Improvisation and the Theatre is open to all Upper School Students and counts as 1/2 of a Performing Arts Credit.

DESCRIPTION: Students will learn a wealth of Improvisation techniques focusing on Performance, Points of Concentration, Place, Character, and above all... Personal Creativity.

AVAILABILITY: Monologues and Scene Study is available to all Upper School Students and counts for 1/2 of a Performing Arts Credit.

DESCRIPTION: Monologue and Scene Study is the Meat and Potatoes of acting. Students will immerse themselves in text and learn to exist as a theatrical character.

AVAILABILITY: Theatre Emsemble is available primarily for qualified Juniors and Seniors (Exceptions will be made in some cases) with Permission from the instructor. 1/2 of a Performing Arts credit.

DESCRIPTION: Theatre Ensemble focuses on Ensemble acting. There will be several public performances including participation in the now legendary Commander Dave franchise.

AVAILABILITY: The Technical Theatre Class is available to all Upper School Students and counts for 1/2 of a Performing Arts Credit.

DESCRIPTION: Students will learn everything one would need to know to walk behind the scenes in any theatre and not be thoroughly out of their element. Current Productions will serve as hands-on class participation. This class is a blast.
