- Try Google Maps. You can find most city maps in Japan, just search for your city. You could create a link to Google Maps in your Power Point or...
- Try Britannica Online. It has maps of most Japanese cities.
Tourist attractions
- Go to Britannica Online. You can read about the cities and use the links to web sites to find official city pages on the internet. Also, there are great links to images of the city as well.
- You can also try Japan Guide. It has lots of interesting information.
Local food
- This can be a little more difficult. Try visiting a web search engine (like Ask or Google). When you search, type in the word "food" and the name of your city. For example: Yokohama Food.
- You can also add the word "traditional" to your search to fine more specific items.
- If you have the name of a food that is popular in your region, but you still need a recipe you can
- Try this web site: Recipe Source
- Or this one: All Recipes
- Or this one: The Food Network
- Try a book on Japanese Cooking (There are copies in your classroom).
- Search the Web for a recipe. If you do this, make sure that you can trust the recipe.
