Research Recommendations:
eLibrary, eLibrary, eLibrary has been very helpful for topics 6th graders have chosen in the past.
- Remember that you will want to find information from sources you can trust, especially for your first two RAD forms. eLibrary is a great place to do that.
You may find some of the following databases and websites helpful as well:
- ProCon.org has information on all sides of different controversial issues
- Britannica Online for background information on your topic.
- Science Resource Center for issues in the environment, animal rights, medicine, etc.
- Teen Health and Wellness
- The Internet Public Library is a great place to find trustworthy "free web" sites.
- Books from the library We have books on many of your topics.
- Don't forget to check the Current Issues encyclopedia of controversial topics.
- Check with Ms. Harris if you can't find what you need
Surveys and Interviews may be helpful (and even necessary) for your research. Ms. Harris and Mrs. Rippl will be giving you directions and suggestions for these types of sources.
