Research Guidelines:
- You must complete at least 4 RAD forms for this project.
- You must update your research plan daily.
- IMPORTANT: You are required to use information provided by EXPERTS. EXPERTS can be scientists, journalists, government officials, university professors, eye-witnesses, trusted organizations, doctors, or others that have lots of experience with the topic you are studying. If you aren't sure if an organization or a person is an EXPERT, ask for help OR choose a different source that you are sure has been written by an EXPERT.

eLibrary, eLibrary, eLibrary has been very helpful for topics 6th graders have chosen in the past.
Books from the library We have books on many of your topics.
- Don't forget to check the Current Issues encyclopedia of controversial topics.
- Check with Ms. Harris if you can't find what you need
Teen Health and Wellness
- Even if you don't have topic that relates to health or science, this site might have what you are looking for because it includes information about all sorts of topics that are relevant to people your age.
You may find some of the following databases and websites helpful as well:
- ProCon.org has information on all sides of different controversial issues
- Britannica Online for background information on your topic.
- Science Resource Center for issues in the environment, animal rights, medicine, etc.
- The Internet Public Library is a great place to find trustworthy "free web" sites.
Surveys and Interviews may be helpful (and even necessary) for your research. Ms. Harris and Mrs. Rippl will be giving you directions and suggestions for these types of sources.
